Review of the Twitter Traffic Machine…

I’ve been working pretty hard on Twitter and building a great list of friends and followers on Twitter so I decided that it’s about time I start to review some of the top products out on Twitter right now. Today I bought The Twitter Traffic Machine and did a review of it. Here’s the review and I hope it can either save you money or help you in any way. Please leave feedback if it helps.

This is a series of videos, 6 to be exact and it walks you through how to use a few different useful tools for Twitter. There’s also a .pdf file that goes along with it.

These videos are in a .SWF file form, so for me I needed to download a SWF player in order to view the videos. But, that may be because I didn’t have a Flash movie player.

The first of these videos is based on setting up your Twitter profile and the importance of having a great picture as well as an awesome background for your profile and the power of your website. Shows what to fill in for your bio, etc. Pretty simple walkthrough.

The second video is based on the Tweetlater Automation tool which allows you to automatically DM your new followers. This is important because it allows you to automate your twitter marketing which is great for if you are away from your computer for whatever reason…say, you’re busy enjoying real life?

The third video is about Twollo. This is a great tool that allows you to automatically target people and it automatically follows them for you, this way you don’t have to spend hours trying to find people who are into your chosen niche.

Fourth video is all about creating content and where to get your content/automate it. Pretty cool features here and I didn’t know about a lot of what they teach in this video so I recommend spending time watching it.

Fifth video = FINDING PEOPLE! If you’re looking to build a large list of followers who are targeted to your niche, you need to find people….right? This works similar to Twollo but you can do this in real-time and it allows for you to take place in conversations that are happening right now on twitter. Pretty interesting and works great to find people so I recommend taking notes on this video.

Last video= using the affiliate program to raise money with this. My advice = this is over-saturated but its a great tutorial. So just a little suggestion is to take this advice and take it to A DIFFERENT NICHE!

Brilliant concepts and put across in a nice way. Good job to Gabe Strom and Bill Crosby for setting this up. Definitely worth the price tag even for the experienced Twitterer. If you want to find out where to get the Twitter Traffic Machine, head to this site

Goal Setting – Planning and Strategy

What is Goal Setting?

I decided that I never really had a good definition for goal setting, so I went out and “googled it” and found a really good definition.

Goal Setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn this vision of the future into reality.

The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You’ll also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure you from your course.

So, How would you go about setting the goals and what would you do upon finding your goals?

You wouldn’t just leave them on that piece of paper would you? I tried that, it doesn’t work You must take ACTION!

What needs to happen can be explained in 2 easy steps.
1) Plan
2) Strategy

Step 1) The Planning phase.

-take the time to sit down and develop a plan, find a final destination and other short-term goals
-Inadequate planning and control is the leading cause of lost productivity in most businesses
-Planning GETS THINGS GOING. It provides you with a direction to aim and a target to hit

You must be AWARE of your “big picture” and keep this in mind daily.

Step 2) The Strategy phase

-slow down
-have clear priorities and take strategic view of daily problems
-set up short-term goals(30-60 days)
-set up intermediate goals (3-10 months)
-set up long-term goals (2-5 years)
-develop a “plan of attack”

Strategic Plans, The success of organizations today require that every employee, on a daily basis, considers the “big picture” and thinks strategically about gaining and keeping a competitive edge.

In general, there are 4 steps to approaching Goal Setting and Achieving your Goals. If you can master these, you can master your business.

1- Formulate Plans
2- Carry Out Plans
3- Compare Preliminary & Final Results With Plans
4- Take Corrective Action

After going through the steps, you improve and re-do, going back to step 1 and trying to improve upon the final goal.

One of the biggest problems today is the “Busyness Trap”
You do not want to confuse being “busy” with being effective and efficient, we all know that RESULTS do matter. Results are the reason we are doing the things we do. If we didn’t want results, we wouldn’t be taking action.

Remember that activities and speed without results are an energy-sapping waste of time.

Slow down, have clear priorities and take strategic view of the daily problems.

Importance of an Internet Marketing System

People often ask “What’s your secret?” … They want to know what the secret to success on the Internet is.

Truth be told, there IS no secret.

There isn’t an e-book or a system that you just join and all of a sudden BAM your business doubles/triples/quadruples. Trust me, I’ve read 100′s of e-books and had spent money on all those systems that are going to make your business grow… Not many of them do what they are supposed to, it’s mainly just hype and an overpricing for what you get.

Even if a system does 90% of the work… guess what, there’s still 10% more work to be done, and the 10% is the place where you will make the money, not the other 90%. The 10% of the work required by you is the most important aspect of success in this business.

Whichever business you are in, that is

10% of the work is personal follow-up and building relationships with the people that you connect with through the systems you use online. This is where you should be spending your time, not on learning systems and pay plans.

So, how can you succeed with this?

There is a “formula” for achieving success online using certain systems. It doesn’t take a Master’s Degree to learn and you definiitely don’t need to be an internet guru.

A beginner can learn to use the Internet for building their prospect base and attracting business builders to their primary business just as quickly as an experience networker.

That formula involves 3 very key elements that every network marketer must have.

1. Auto-Responder
2. Prospecting Tools
3. Advertising Resources

1. Auto-responder

This is one tool that is an absolute must. I feel it is one of the first tools that you need to learn to master when deciding to use the Internet to build your business.

I use several highly rated auto-responders but my auto-responder of choice for new people (and seasoned veterans) is Response Magic.

There is one thing all experienced marketers agree on … online or offline … you need a list! Without a list of prospects, your business is not going to grow … no matter what system you use.

a word of caution: if you are relatively new to Internet marketing or already overwhelmed, do yourself a favour … do not try to learn to use all the resources at once. We recommend selecting one resource, learning how to set it up and use it to advertise. Once you are comfortable using the system and it’s working for you, then and only then, look at adding another resource.

Here is a list of a few select resources that I recommend you begin with.

It acts as a link “cloaker” to disguise your affiliate links, it acts as a link tracker so that you know how many people actually visited your website and as an upgraded member, ViralURL is a list mailer as well. Putting it all together

So, now that you have an autoresponder and you signed up for some advertising resources to advertise your “prospecting system”, how does it all work?

Step 1. Send an ad out using the resources you just joined. The ad you send will depend on the prospecting system you are using. Here is a current ad that I am sending to my online marketing lists:

Step 2. Add your new prospects to your Auto-responder (if you are advertising your lead capture blog page, then your leads are automatically added to your auto-responder)

Step 3. Followup with your new prospects by phone (if they left their phone number, it’s always best to make a courtesy follow-up phone call to see if your prospect has any questions) or email.

Continue to advertise and follow-up … that is the key to building an online business … create prospects and follow-up to build good strong relationships.
